Recommended to toggle between favorite player's bonus, depending on confidence. High bonus number = high confidence in favorite plays.
Recommended point ranges for different sports
NBA: 2-5 points
NHL: 1-2 points for skaters, more for goalies
MLB: Batters 1-2 points
Pitchers: 3-5 points
NFL: 2-5 points, depending on position
If you want to be sure they are in your lineups use a high enough favorite bonus to get their projection over and above all others like +50. You will not see the extra bonus in their projections it adds it behind the scenes.
